The Bad Hair Day

The Bad Hair Day is one of my go to minnow flies.  This fly darts and dives and moves unlike any fly before.  This fly landed some of the largest Tarpon we hooked in Tabasco. Hook: Favorite Streamer Hook Tail: Craft Fur, Flash Body: Reverse Tied Craft Fur Keys to tying this fly: Make sure you leave a little of the under fur in the Craft Fur, it provides a little bulk giving this fly a little larger profile. Da Perch

Using hollow tied buck-tail, schlappen and a peacock eye, this fly moves a lot of water and will get the attention of your favorite toothy critter.  Smaller than many modern flies of its type, this fly is easy to cast and produces fish. The Seaducer

This simple streamer is deadly for both fresh and saltwater fish.  If that wasn’t reason enough to start adding them to your box, they are super easy to tie as well.  Strip the fly back to you with an erratic retrieve and hang on! The Ice Shad

This fly was created for the Great Lakes, but is at home in the saltwater, a bass lake, a smallmouth river, swung for steel or in a trout stream.  We tie Ice Wing in like EP for an EP style baitfish.  A little tricky to get the hang of at first, this fly is worth the mess it makes.  Tie one on today!
