Musky season opens today in Michigan.  Even though our bodies are stuck in the office, our hearts are on Lake St. Clair.

Musky are the fish of 10,000 casts, you better be a pretty good caster if you are going to target them.  One of the best ways to make the casting easier is to make the fly easier to throw.  This fly is tied in Blane Chocklett’s T-bone style, but uses big fly fiber instead of the more traditional bucktail for the body,  Give this one a try!

Hook: 5/0 Mustad
Thread: 210 Flat Waxed
Tail: Big Fly Fiber,Flash
Body: Ez- tubing XL
Wing: Big Fly Fiber, Flash
Head: Laser Dub
Eyes: Doll Eyes

This fly will shed water quickly and be a lot easier to cast.  The synthetic fibers have unbelievable action in the water.  Choose your favorite colors and fish this fly.
