The Liberty Cocktail

1 tsp   Sugar 1          Lime wedge 1 oz     Calvados (Apple Brandy) 3/4 oz  Light Rum Place the lime wedge in a heavy bottomed Old Fashioned Glass and add the sugar.  Muddle the lime and sugar together until the sugar dissolves. Fill the glass halffull with ice.  Pour the Calvados and Rum, then stir. If you can’t find Calvados, Applejack can be used as a substitute.  Enjoy this cocktail and toast to the Consitutional Amendment of your choice. This cocktail is light and refreshing.  There

This cocktail is light and refreshing.  There is a very well-rounded tartness from the combination of lime and sugar and the touch of rum adds a little heft to the cocktail. Make sure to use a light rum so the clean sweet taste won’t interfere with the other flavors.
