There are very few flies in the world that have revolutionized fly tying more than The Clouser Minnow.  With a fly this revolutionary there is always a little controversy, but we will leave that for another time.

The Clouser Minnow was invented by Bob Clouser for fishing smallmouth bass on the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania.  The genius of this fly is in its simplicity.  This fly does a great job of imitating so many of the bait fish in our waterways.  All you need to do is change the color combos and flash.  Sometimes making the wings a little fuller or little skinner can help customize the fly too.

Fish this fly for pretty much any species of fish in the fresh and salt and you're bound to find one that will eat it.

Some of our favorite color combos are yellow and white with firetiger flash-a-bou for the fresh and pink and white with pink flash for the salt.
